Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore is a chic and elegant hotel that is located across the street from the very popular and beautiful Baltimore Harbor. Such a perfect location because it allows guest to go out and explore without having to go super far.
Upon arrival, I was greeted at the front desk with such a warm welcome. The lead concierge, Jonathan Knox was also present at check-in, and he made checking in a breeze. Actually, my whole stay was fantastic because of him and his team. Besides being clean, the lobby was magical, with a stunning winding staircase that led up to the second floor, the perfect setting for a fairytale wedding.
When traveling, it’s always impressive when the staff at the hotel remembers my name and greets me with a smile. Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore did not skip a beat. This stunning hotel has now been added to our favorites list.
When I entered my suite, I was floored by the stunning view of the Baltimore Harbor, luxurious white bedding and great art throughout the suite. One example of how each Sonesta Hotel creates an atmosphere of originality is the Sonesta Art Collection. This group of work consists of more than 7,000 contemporary paintings, sculptures, original prints and tapestries by both emerging and established artists.
The peaceful visual of the harbor from my large windows ended up being the highlight of my suite. I pulled back all of my curtains, and I went to sleep and woke up to that view every day.
Dining
My 1st meal at the hotel was a fantastic breakfast spread delivered right to my room. Everything that they brought up was so delicious, I almost didn’t make it out on my first day of exploring. Take a look! No matter what type of breakfast person you are, you will definitely find something of your liking on the menu.
After exploring, I had the pleasure to eat lunch at the Explorers Resturant located on the second floor right above the lobby. Everything I ordered was made with fresh and tasty ingredients. Two of my favorite dishes were the vegetable flatbread: tomato, bell peppers, mushrooms, onion, and fresh mozzarella. The second was the Spinach Salad: yellow beets, pickled red onion, goat cheese, dried cherries, and red wine vinaigrette. OMG! You must give both a try!
My waitress was very kind and knowledgeable about each dish I inquired about, and she was also helpful with planning out the rest of my day exploring. The manager of the restaurant and bar was very kind too, his welcoming smile and making sure that I was taken care of really made me feel right at home.
Now for dinner, I wanted to try something different, so I took my taste buds to Nick’s Fish House, and I had the best time. Click HERE to read about my full experience.
Excursions
My excursions were provided by Visit Baltimore, and pretty much everything was located right across the street or walking distance. I visited the Baltimore National Aquarium which is the jewel of Baltimore City’s Inner Harbor redevelopment. With a mission to inspire conservation of the world’s aquatic treasures, the Aquarium is consistently ranked as one of the nation’s top three aquariums. I also got the opportunity to visit Ripley’s Believe It or Not, the home of the unbelievable, weird news, stories, incredible videos, photos, exhibits and so much more. I had a blast at both places, it was like I was a kid again. Exploring Baltimore indeed brought me so much joy!
