My Way Restaurant – Senegal

Hey Folks! It has been a while! But, I am super excited to kick this blogging thang back off with this post about an amazing Lebanese restaurant called My Way Restaurant located in Dakar, Senegal.

The Decor

I want to start with the decor because when I walked in that is what sold me immediately! I just knew my experience was about to be awesome and they did not disappoint! The decor is a whole VIBE. It’s bright, chic, and comforting, mixed with a little retro. It just makes you feel good, brightens your mood and if you dine in the evening it’s perfect for a sexy low key date night.

One of my favorite features was this retro wall filled with colorful images of some great people from the past. It is the first thing that will catch your eye when you walk in, it really stands out but it fits so perfectly with the rest of the decor.

The Food

Everything is freshly prepared every time you order.  This fabulous Lebanese Restaurant offers you a range of amazing vegetarian and meat options so everyone will definitely find something they will enjoy on the menu.

The two dishes I fell in love with and I have gone back a few times for are the XL Mix Grill and the KAFTA Pide.

Xl Mix Grill

Xl Mix Grill

The Xl Mix Grill: grilled beef tenderloin & chicken breast, hummus, creamy cheese spread (made in-house), salad, french fries, and grilled vegetables. The meat and the veggies are grilled to perfection and they are served to you on the metal skewer they were grilled on. All of the sides compliment the meat very well and really pull the full dish together. This dish is pretty big with a mixture of everything so it’s a great dish to share with someone else.

Kafta Pide

Kafta Pide

The Kafta Pide: minced meat, tomato, and cheese. Pide is a flatbread baked with toppings in a stone oven. The base is a flat-bread of a similar style to pita, chapati, or western pizza crust. If you love pizza then this will BLOW YOUR MIND! The meat is well seasoned, very flavorful, and mixes well with the juicy tomatoes. I honestly don’t think I will eat a regular pizza again after having this pide. This one is definitely my go-to dish when I dine at My Way.

My Final Thoughts

My Way Restaurant allows you to dive into the Lebanese culture without having to hop on a plane. The rich flavor will tantalize your taste buds, all while served in a super cool atmosphere.

Definitely looking forward to going back soon!
