The Lovely Lamantin Beach Resort & Spa

Lamantin Beach Resort & Spa provides a real ‘WOW’ factor when it comes to excellent accommodation in beautiful surroundings. So, when it was time for me to choose where I would stay during my trip to Saly, Senegal the decision was not a hard one for me. Transfer time from Dakar Blaise Diagne Airport to Saly is about 40 minutes, you can catch a taxi right outside of the airport.

Once I arrived, check-in was very quick and easy, which was great because I was a little tired from the flight. I was ready to go to my room, shower and take a nap. The weather in Saly can get a little hot, so while you are checking in, the awesome front desk staff offers you water or this really tasty fresh juice that they make.

Make yourself right at home in one of the beautiful hut style rooms at Lamantin. Lamantin is located 1 hour South of Dakar in the heart of the beautiful touristic town of Saly. Benefiting from a prime beachfront location, Lamantin leads the way amongst its neighboring hotels, providing an excellent standard of accommodation and beautiful surroundings.

The resort is composed of these beautiful traditional freestanding huts offering luxurious amenities & purely traditional local African decor. all of the huts sit in this welcoming green garden landscape. All of the rooms have a queen-size bed and are well air-conditioned. They all feature a private terrace and are equipped with:

– Minibar
– A flat-screen television with satellite programming
– Complimentary wireless Internet
– Private bathrooms with bathtubs or showers (Complimentary toiletries are restocked every day)
– Magnetically closing door
– Safe
– Telephone with direct access
– Hairdryer

Lamantin features 2 culinary restaurants and a bar with a terrace shaded by coconut trees or stay in and take advantage of the 24-hour room service. During the day make sure you relax with a refreshing drink at one of the 2 bars/lounges.

A great complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 6 AM to 10 AM and with all of the restaurants serving gourmet meals and high-quality wines at different times throughout the day, you will be spoiled when it comes to dining. The main restaurant, Les Paletuviers offers buffet meals often featuring colorful themed nights showcasing the best of international cuisine. The à la carte restaurant, Le Beach Club, with its outdoor terrace overlooking the marina, is perfect for that special occasion meal.

Like to work out when you travel, also? Don’t worry! Take advantage of the well-equipped fitness center or swim a few laps in the great outdoor pool.

Why stop at the pool?! You also have direct access to the beach and marina, just a few steps away from each hut. Relax on the soft, white sands of the hotel’s private beach. For the more energetic travelers, you can take advantage of the many water sports offered on the beach, play table tennis or beach volleyball.

Or if you are in the mood to be adventures and a daredevil, go on a super fun buggy tour with Loisirs Services Senegal. Which I did! I’ll tell you more about that experience in a sperate post, coming soon!

I had a great opportunity to partner with the awesome marketing team at Lamantin and they set me up to stay at two of there other beautiful properties as well. So, my time at Lamantin was a perfect introduction to the Saly area. It was the kick-off to an amazing 10-day experience!

Three different stunning properties, all uniquely amazing in their own little way. If you liked what you read about Lamantin Beach Resort and Spa, then check out the other properties I stayed at during my time in Saly:
