Fall Styling: Gagliardi Bordeaux Herringbone Blazer

It’s getting cooler outside and the leaves are changing colors.  This can only mean one thing, fall is finally here.  For those that enjoy fashion, this is best time of year.  The mixing and matching of materials from wools to knits, the use of gorgeous colors and accessories like top coats and scarves, makes fall the ideal season for any fashion ado.

And with the season changing, you’ll need a blazer that can keep you warm (or cool on those off days) without sacrificing style.  Gagliardi is one of my favorite suit brands so I was very excited to receive their Bordeaux Herringbone Blazer to put together some awesome looks for the fall.

Here are a few reasons why I personally like this blazer.

  • The wool and cotton blend will help retain your silhouette
  • Natural shoulders because no one wants to look like a linebacker
  • You can’t go wrong with herringbone texture
  • This jacket can be easily dressed up for business or dressed down with jeans for happy hour.
  • The red/burgundy color stands out from the sea of grey, blue and black suits
  • The slim fit is almost perfect right off the rack.

The herringbone texture pairs well with wool or knit ties and both light or dark grey (or black) pants.  Add the perfect pocket square or lapel decoration to pull the entire ensemble together.  Check out these two looks.

This blazer also goes well with various hues of blues and pairs great with oxblood loafers.

One of my favorite looks was this casual look, which I wore straight to happy hour.  The blazer can easily be dressed down with a simple black shirt, sweater, or turtleneck and your favorite chelsea boots.
