Things To Do: The Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium is one of the most beautiful experiences of beauty. It is one of the world’s largest aquariums with the chance to get up close to exotic marine life, aquatic habitats and diverse examples of oceanic life the world has seen.

While in Atlanta for Memorial Day weekend, I got the chance to visit the aquarium and it was such a fantastic experience. Located in downtown Atlanta, the Georgia Aquarium is within walking distance of many central attractions, including the World of Coca-Cola.

If you purchase a general admission ticket, it grants you access to explore the largest aquatic collections. You can experience everything from tropical fish, beluga whales to an action-packed, state-of-the-art 4D theater.

Above, is the Ocean Voyager gallery that contains 6.3 million gallons of saltwater and is home to thousands of other fascinating fish. It is one of the most extensive exhibits at the aquarium and possibly in the world. An acrylic tunnel for guests to view the incredible marine life on all sides leads you to this giant acrylic viewing window. It makes you feel like you are under the sea.

Another one of my favorite attractions at the aquarium was the Under the Boardwalk room. They don’t allow cameras during this presentation, but you wouldn’t want to miss anything during this show, fiddling around with a camera. , and it features the incredible California sea lions of the Georgia Aquarium. These highly social and super adorable animals are very entertaining. They work exceptionally well together with their trainers during this live show; they are like best friends. Under the Boardwalk is included in Aquarium general admission and lasts approximately 20-25 minutes.
